However, Joan Collins also means best-selling author, accomplished producer, a successful entrepreneur and devoted mother. A lifetime full of achievements, Joan Collins’ career cannot be defined by one highlight or pinnacle moment. She has starred in 55 feature films, as Alexis Carrington Colby in Dynasty, has been a guest performer in TV shows from Space 1999 to Will and Grace and also on the UK stage. In 1997, she received the ultimate accolade, an OBE for her lifetime contribution to the arts and her continuing charity work. As well as preparing for her first UK tour, Joan Collins’ work this year has included the release of her 13th book Misfortune’s Daughters, appearing in episodes 5 and 6 of the eagerly awaited fifth series of Footballers Wives which will be screened in February/March 2006, a TV drama Hotel Babylon with Tamzin Outhwaite and Max Beesley and she will host the Christmas Special of Have I Got News For You. On her UK tour, Joan Collins will be joined by special guests 4 Poofs and A Piano who are best known for their TV work on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross. Whilst appearing on the show, they have worked with many huge stars including Jim Carrey, Elton John, Liza Minnelli and Sir Paul McCartney.
