Uniquely taking place against the backdrop of a fully operational 5 star hotel, the audience member is encouraged to be open minded and willing as they take on the role of the protagonist. Each participant will be guided through a number of one-on-one encounters and experiences throughout the hotel from the soaring dome of the Lobby Lounge and Victorian Ballroom to the previously unseen back of house areas. Following multiple sell-out runs of the award-winning show You Once Said Yes (Fringe First, Total Theatre Award), Artistic Director Mimi Poskitt and writers Morgan Lloyd Malcolm and Katie Lyons have now taken residency at Corinthia London to produce their creative vision. Here they will gather historic stories from the building's life, past and present, to build the layered narrative of the interactive play that captures the hotel's beauty and vibrancy. Look Left Look Right were selected for the prestigious Corinthia residency from an impressive array of entrants by the esteemed panel of judges including some of the UK's leading voices in the theatre scene such as The Donmar Warehouse's Josie Rourke, The Bush Theatre's Madani Younis and Ed Vaizey MP, Minister for Culture. The Corinthia Artist in Residence is a unique annual initiative which champions British nurtured talent within different disciplines of the arts. 2012 saw photographic artist Noemie Goudal create three large scale pieces of work under the brief of ?Unknown Views' for display in the hotel.
