From the deep-rooted influence on Vaughan Williams's music to the ongoing rise of young British folk musicians, this year's Proms Folk Day offers the chance to immerse yourself in music, dance and storytelling. With its ability to characterise a community, folk music offers a unique reflection of different cultures and traditions.
