When pirates ransack her grandmother's inn, fearless Jim unearths a treasure map and knows she must follow it to uncover its fortune. With a motley crew of sailors and pirates, Jim sets sail on the mighty Hispaniola and they seek out distant shores where riches await. The ship's charming cook, Long John Silver quickly befriends Jim, but she fears that he's not to be trusted. As they follow the stars and approach the island, it seems her fears are well founded. Will they succeed in locating the buried treasure, or will they lose their lives in the process? Treasure Island is a thrilling, swashbuckling voyage that will transport you to a far away, tropical island. This breathtaking, modern adaptation by Bryony Lavery (A Christmas Carol) retains all the adventure and excitement of Robert Louis Stevenson's timeless classic, but proves that girls can have adventures too.

Book by Robert Louise Stevenson. Author Bryony Lavery. Company Birmingham Repertory Theatre. Director Phillip Breen. Design Mark Bailey.
