Performing under the baton of renowned music director, Andris Nelsons, the orchestra will perform a programme which includes Russian master Glinka's spirited overture to his opera Russian and Ludmilla, followed by Beethoven's Violin Concerto. For this sensational piece, the orchestra will be joined by the enchanting young Latvian violinist, Baiba Skride. With a dramatic and moving climax, the great Finnish epic, Sibelius'Symphony No.2, will close the concert.
