Formed in 1996 by one of Britain's foremost colleges for the performing arts, London Studio Centre's Jazz Dance Company provides performing and touring experience for its final year students specialising in Jazz Theatre Dance. Many members of the company have had extensive professional experience in the commercial theatre. Fairy tales and folk stories have been shared through the generations; they stir our imaginations, ignite our creativity and evoke our emotions. From the joyful and light-hearted to the ridiculous, and even the sinister world of the Grimm Brothers. Unexpected Tales explores the light and shade of these stories, with some unexpected twists, told through the exciting and athletic genres of jazz dance and music theatre. The Jazz Dance Company's fantastic young talent and high energy performance combine with choreography from leading choreographers of stage and screen, resulting in one night of dance magic for families and dance fans alike.
