By simply using his hands, Andrew Dawson creates compelling and beautiful stories that have the audiences on the edge of their seats. Performer, film and show director, choreographer, hand model and Feldenkrais practitioner, there is no limit to Andrew Dawson's talent. He is particularly well known for having directed a stage version of "Wallace and Gromit", for his stunning visual poem featuring four hands, 'Quatre Mains' and the award winning 'Absence and Presence', the story of his father's death. Andrew Dawson's show, The Articulate Hand, was conceived in collaboration with Jonathan Cole, neuroscientist and author. Through a combination of hand gestures, lighting and music, this show uncovers the grace, beauty and psychological consequences of impairments of the hands, and unites the insight of the scientist with the empathy of the artist.
