Details

Largo is an elegant, elegiac solo for Baryshnikov, danced to music by Arcangelo Corelli. Largo resonates with an ineffable sadness. Chacony is a more abstract work for the full company. The dancers create an upbeat, sunny mood to 'Burlesque' from String Quartet No 3 and 'Tarantella' from the Sinfonietta. The work takes on a darker tone with 'Chancony Sostenuto' from Britten's Second String Quartet. Also featured is Early Floating by Erick Hawkins and The Experts, a company piece by Sarah Michelson, set to an electronic score by Mike Iveson Jr.
