Amici is a unique dance theatre company integrating able-bodied and disabled artists and performers. Founded in 1980, Amici have had a major impact challenging conventional attitudes about disability and the arts. Asterisk - An integrated dance performance in four parts celebrating the beauty of individuality. NPO Miyagi Dance from Sendai, Japan, formed in 1998 under the philosophy "Live and dance, the way you are." Asterisk is Miyagi's third major production and comes to the UK for the first time. Water Garden - Using improvisation, bhuto techniques, humour and wit the internationally renowned Japanese choreographer, Un Yamada, created Water Garden in Fukuoka, Japan (Jan 2005) with visiting members of Amici, Chrissie and Rosie.
