Alice Cooper - Theatre of Death archiveNow into his 31st year in music, Alice Cooper set about making in indelible mark on the industry from the very start. He is considered to be the first artist to wear make-up and outrageous clothing on stage, combined with loud rock music. He soon gained notoriety as 'The Master of Shock Rock' and 'The Black Humorist Supreme'. 'We were into fun, sex, death and money when everybody was into peace and love', explains Alice. 'We wanted to see what was next. It turned out that we were next'. Combined with outrageous, headline-grabbing stage shows, Alice soon had numerous gold and platinum albums under his belt: Love It To Death, Killer, Schools Out, Billion Dollar Babies, Welcome To My Nightmare and Trash and singles School's Out, I'm Eighteen. Elected, No More Mr Nice Guy, Only Women Bleed and Poison became teen anthems.
