Jazz saxophonist Andy Sheppard has an international reputation as one of jazz's most prolific serial collaborators. He returns to Warwick Arts Centre for one of a series of gigs to celebrate his 50th birthday, this time in duo with the superb Italian pianist Rita Marcotulli. Rita's playing shows hints of Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett but a lengthy spell of living in Scandinavia shows influence of the ghostly, wistful long note jazz of Jan Garbarek Andy Sheppard - and Rita Marcotulli website.
