Details

Among the most prolific, most wide-ranging and best-read of contemporary novelists, Fay Weldon is also one of the most controversial. A feminist who now argues that men are the oppressed sex, a writer of psychological insight who has declared war on therapy, Fay Weldon has only one predictable characteristic: her unpredictability. Fay Weldon will speak about her life, career and latest novel Kehua! at the New End Theatre on Sunday 19 September at 7.30pm. This is latest in the series of literary events IN CONVERSATION chaired by Eileen Christopher-Daniels. Previous authors in this series were the late Beryl Bainbridge, Cosmo Landesman, Olivia Lichtenstein, Susie Boyt and Margaret Drabble.
