Details
Clark is renowned for reflecting the interests and obsessions of his generation through a blend of provocative music, striking design and startlingly implosive energetic movement. This full-length piece features four extraordinary dancers. Widely considered as one of the most eminent and groundbreaking choreographers today, Michael Clark and his dance company transform the Turbine Hall into a space for experimentation and practice while they prepare a new work created in response to this monumental space. This unique display of live art provides an extraordinary opportunity for Tate visitors to witness the artistic process behind Clark's choreography. Michael Clark has also invited over 80 members of the public to join weekly workshops with the company in July and August. The group of untrained dancers have learnt a piece of choreography to be performed en-masse in the Turbine Hall over the August bank holiday weekend. These free public showings can be seen Friday 27 and Saturday 28 August at 21.30 and Sunday 29 and Monday 30 August at 17.30.
