CORONAVIRUS: 22Feb21 UpdateAll UK venues closed on 16th March 2020. After the Prime Minister's announcement it would appear that, subject to continued control of the virus, venues may re-open with social distancing and limits on audiences from 17th May. Social distancing restrictions may be removed from 21st June. We will continue to update our listings as much as possible to reflect the changes as/when they are reported.
Shakespeare's story of fairies, love and marriage told in ballet form. This funny and heart-warming adaptation features vibrant classical choreography danced by some of the finest dancers around. Mendelssohn's joyous music is interpreted by Artistic Director Darius James, and highlights include radiant costumes, sets and video projection. The Queen of the Fairies, Titania, and Puck, the mischievous messenger, inhabit the supernatural fairy kingdom. Bottom and his boot-wearing 'Rude Mechanicals' present their famous play Pyramus and Thisbe. And finally, the lovers, caught in a thrilling web of mistaken identity and confusion, finally find their way through the Athenian forest to an unforgettable and joyous reconciliation.Music Mendelssohn.
