John Standing is one of our leading actors, having starred in the West End and on Broadway as well as plays written by some of the world's foremost writers including Shaw, Wilde, Farquhar, Coward, Stoppard and Grey. John finds singing the songs of the greatest American songwriters of his time and his great British contemporaries is something of a Bon Bouche. John Standing will present his highly-acclaimed personal tribute to Noel Coward for 5 performances only. This show has been at the Cafe Carlyle, New York for a sell out season earlier this year. Each performance will be followed by a short unseen Noel Coward film. The screening is exclusive 20 minute footage of Noel Coward directing ‘Bitter Sweet’ in 1929. It has never been shown in the UK. The film has been loaned by The Noel Coward Foundation. On Sunday 16 January there will be tea and cakes in the bar from 3.00pm and on Saturday 22 January there will be live jazz in the Mahogany Bar following the screening.
