Prince Handsome upsets a witch and is turned into The Beast, a spell only to be undone by true love. Belle is trapped in the Beast's castle after her father makes a deal to escape and eventually falls for "the inner man" and releases the Beast from his spell. Panto audiences attending the People’s Theatre production of Beauty and the Beast this Christmas will be thrilled by the stunning ‘Riverdance’performance led by 11 year old Paul Webb. Paul, accompanied by 13 girls will dance a spectacular sequence from ‘Riverdance’ made famous by Michael Flatley. The dancers are all members of Clann na nGael school of Irish Dancing and have all successfully competed at the recent Great British Irish dancing Championships where Paul came 2nd to the World Champion! All the dancers will be representing the North East at the World Championships in April 2003 at Killarney. Beauty and the Beast is a traditional family Panto and is great value for money!
