Marta wants to disappear, Michael can't stop growing. After a chance encounter in a hospital waiting area, their paths merge and between them they create a burlesque fantasy world where they are the ringmasters. But when their reality is shattered, can this world help them survive and what happens when the lines between fantasy and reality are lost? Using Proteus' distinctive style of fusing circus, film and physical theatre, this is an exploration of modern attitudes toward our own bodies and the obsession with perfection at any cost. Developed in association with Greenwich Theatre and Anvil Arts Basingstoke.
