Winner of the 1999 Jerwood Award, Akram Khan is a rising star on the contemporary dance scene. This fantastically skilled dancer and choreographer performs both Asian traditional and western contemporary dance. Ronin comprises 3 distinct works, each displaying the usual intelligence, speed, intensity and beauty that have brought Khan such acclaim. The centrepiece is a work of the same name, based on the warrior Arjuna from the Hindu epic, The Mahabharata.
