The events in space in the last forty years. In an entirely new lecture, the second in the series, Patrick Moore, media personality and the UK's leading stargazer, returns to the Victoria Hall, Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday 8 September at 7.30pm to continue his journey of space exploration with The Great Universe. Picking up the story where he left off, and using the latest colour slide projections available, Patrick this time takes his audience out into deep space, and looks at constellations, the birth, life and death of great stars and how to find your way around in the night sky. He also looks at other galaxies, the wonders of black holes and the mysteries of the nebulae... travelling out to the very edge of the universe. This is a fascinating out-of-this-world insight into our Great Universe and is suitable for stargazers of all ages.
