Scotland after the '45 is a land struggling with its identities and loyalties. From vastly differing backgrounds, young David Balfour and the fugitive Allan Breck, flung together on a ship with a wild and reckless crew, must work together to save each other. David learns, in the course of a few short weeks that treachery and murder co-exist with courage and honour.
