The Shakespeare Schools Festival offers young people from every secondary school the opportunity and support to perform abridged productions of Shakespeare's most famous plays in their local professional theatre. Following workshops with the UK's National Youth Theatre and a six month journey of rehearsal, these talented young people are now ready to step into the Shakespearean spotlight. This festival, running for 3 weeks in 11 venues throughout Wales, offers secondary school pupils an opportunity to perform abridged Shakespeare plays in a professional theatre environment.
