SCO's wind ensemble performs a delightful programme that is perfect for a summer evening. Beamish's wonderful Fanfare for two trumpets opens the concert, followed by music from d'Indy, Schubert and Mendelssohn. A highlight of the evening is Poulenc's Duo for two clarinets, performed by the brilliant Maximiliano Martin and William Stafford. The programme ends with Beethoven's Rondino in E-flat and Gounod's charming Petit Symphonie brings the evening to a close. Scottish Chamber Orchestra website.
