Maria Friedman created and performed leading parts in the musicals Passion, The Woman in White (both West End & Broadway), Chicago, Ragtime, Sunday in the Park with George for which she was awarded with three Laurence Olivier Awards and seven nominations! Theatre concerts include a sold out series of Re-arranged in London (performing the repertoire of Sondheim, Brel, Bacharach and more), three seasons at the Cafe Carlyle (New York), concerts at the Barbican, Royal Albert Hall and Cadogan Hall to name but a few. An intimate evening of music and conversation as a part of it's Talking Points programme. Not only is Maria's career astoundingly prolific, she is a charming, witty and engaging host and will be celebrating the legendary music of her friend Stephen Sondheim, which she has performed on stages all over the world. Maria Friedman has appeared in many Sondheim musicals including Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George, Follies, Merrily We Roll Along, A Little Night Music, Passion and Anyone Can Whistle. She regularly performs her own one-off concerts and will be directing a production of Merrily We Roll Along which opens this November at Menier Chocolate Factory.
