Andy Hamilton and the Blue Notes archiveAndy Hamilton is the Godfather of Calypso Jazz. Born in Port Antonio, Jamaica in 1918, the band became an overnight sensation in the 1940's when they were chosen to be the houseband on Errol Flynn's yacht! Andy delights everyone with his swinging calypso, his warm, mellow ballads and infectious rhythms of tunes like Watermelon Man and Don't Stop the Carnival. The seven-piece band features the smooth vocals of Roy Forbes and the Basie-like piano of his life long friend Sam Brown.
