Arhai are not riding the Balkan wave; they are the wave: a swirling current deep in the movement originating in Serbia but far from the frothy breakers of trumpet-led dance-floor remixes. Featuring award winning folk musician Adrian Lever on Bulgarian tambura and medieval dulcimer, the result is a unique fusion of electronic music and folk influences from both the UK and Balkan regions in which technology collides with traditional instruments, blending them with multilayered vocals.
