Details
Orff's great pseudo-medieval masterpiece. Carmina Burana remains one of the most popular and well-loved pieces of classical music ever written. What few people know is that it was actually written as a ballet score, and was intended to be staged. For full choir and orchestra, it's little wonder there is rarely space to incorporate dancers as well; with the Northcott we are fortunate to have a rare opportunity to present the piece is it was originally intended.
