An alternative festive concert at BBC Hoddinott Hall as Principal Conductor Thomas S?nderg?rd presents Christmas favourites with a twist. Swing into Christmas with American classics from Gershwin and Ellington. Acclaimed young pianist Joseph Moog joins the Orchestra for the first time to play Gershwin's Piano Concerto, which fuses traditional form with Gershwin's energetic rhythms; whilst Ellington's reimagining of Tchaikovsky's well-loved ballet themes transports us to a new jazz infused winter wonderland.
