Legacy - Celebrating Roots Music in Brighton archiveAs front-man for Hardkandy (Catskill Records) Seany Clarke has performed across Europe as well as supporting artists and bands like Carlene Anderson and Morcheeba. Here he steps out on his own with a fresh new blend of 'Gnarls Barkleymeets- Outcast' soul-pop. Rebel Control make a welcome return to Brighton Dome following last year's electrifying appearance supporting Luciano. A new face in British reggae, they mix melodic, laid back grooves with conscious-raising lyrics. Led by Ghanaian master drummer Yaw Asumadu, Ozi Ozaa are a multitalented, multicultural collective, fusing West African, Latin, Caribbean and High Life sounds. Together they create an intoxicating global brew of rhythms, melodies and styles. All of these artists have been selected by BBC Sussex and Surrey's specialist new music show South: Live which in partnership with Arts Council England is committed to supporting emerging music of all styles across the region.
