Lisa Milne studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with Patricia McMahon. She won numerous awards and prizes, most notably the Maggie Teyte Prize, the John Christie Award and the Royal Philharmonic Society Award. In 2000 she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Music from the University of Aberdeen. She made her professional debut on the opera stage as Gianetta in Scottish Opera's production of 'L'Elisir d'Amore' and her London recital debut at the Maggie Teyte Prizewinner's Concert at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Since then she has enjoyed great success appearing in many prestigious festivals and working along-side the best in the business.
