BBC Proms Chamber Music Following the Schumann and Schubert songs of the first Proms Chamber Music recital, today's performers extend the Lieder repertoire towards three of its finest later exponents and celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Hugo Wolf. Brahms and Wolf broadened the art-song's range respectively towards dark-hued introspection and characterful vignettes, whereas Berg's expansive melodies touch on a heady post-Romantic atmosphere. Henk Neven returns after last night's Wagner, joined by fellow Radio 3 New Generation Artist Malin Christensson and young Dutch pianist Hans Eijsackers
