Part of the BBC Proms. Sir Charles Mackerras revives the spirit of the Proms Viennese Night, once an annual fixture, with a variety of fleet-footed Strauss-family classics. In the first half, the accent is German rather than Austrian, continuing the season's Schumann bicentenary celebrations.
