Part of the BBC Proms. In his 50th-birthday year, George Benjamin directs one of the UK's foremost new music ensembles. Alternating between the sensuous and the punchy, the programme sets British composers Knussen and Bedford, as well as Benjamin's own work, alongside the UK premiere of Hans Abrahamsen's Wald, which seeks to combine simplicity and poetry.
