CORONAVIRUS: 22Feb21 UpdateAll UK venues closed on 16th March 2020. After the Prime Minister's announcement it would appear that, subject to continued control of the virus, venues may re-open with social distancing and limits on audiences from 17th May. Social distancing restrictions may be removed from 21st June. We will continue to update our listings as much as possible to reflect the changes as/when they are reported.
Verdi's Requiem is a work of great dramatic power, perfect for the stunning auditorium of the Royal Albert Hall. The choir is delighted to be celebrating its 140th anniversary singing this awe-inspiring historic work in the concert hall where they first sang in 1872. As part of the celebrations the RCS has invited a number of students from the LPO's Future First tutoring and mentoring programme to play in the concert, alongside the members of this internationally-renowned orchestra.Performers Judith Howarth (soprano), Julia Riley (mezzo-soprano), Gwyn Hughes Jones (tenor), Matthew Best (bass).
