Founded in September 2003, under the guidance of Dr Christopher Rowland, the Shezan receive coaching from Ian Brown of the Nash Ensemble. In 2004, they won the Royal Northern College of Music's Terence Weilprize for the performance of classical and 20th century repertoire.
