The MSO's Summer Prom has a Scottish first half this year, the main work being Bruch's attractive Scottish Fantasy with brilliant Bristol-based violinist Roger Huckle as soloist. The traditional second half festivities begin with the chance to hear a Suite from Sir Charles Mackerras' delightful 'Pineapple Poll', based on the music of Sir Arthur Sullivan, the centenary of whose death will be celebrated in November.
