Details
Carl Orff’s Carimina Burana, possibly the most popular choral work of the 20th century has been chosen by the Weald Choir to celebrate their 40th anniversary. The music tells of life and death set against the turning wheel of fortune. Also being performed are Constant Lambert’s Rio Grande and Darius Milhaud’s suite for two pianos, Scaramouche. The choir is accompanied by the John Rockcliffe percussion group and pianists Adrian Bawtree and Andrew Saunders.
