Verdi's Requiem archiveVerdi's setting of the Latin Requiem Mass has been called 'his best opera'. It is the profoundly dramatic response of a great humanitarian to death and the day of judgement. Performed in Latin. This tribute to Verdi also anticipates the centenary of his death in January 2001. New production supported by the Geoffrey C Hughes Charitable Trust.
