Details
Shakespeare's story of fairies, love and marriage told in ballet form. A special, staged performance of Shakespeare’s play, directed by Tim Carroll of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and formerly of the Globe. The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment will perform Mendelssohn’s music, surrounding and interwoven throughout the play. Tim Carroll has chosen Middle Temple Hall because of its close association with Shakespeare who almost certainly watched and may have taken part in the first performance of his play, Twelfth Night in Middle Temple Hall in 1602.
