A showcase of performances from the Linbury Studio Theatre of the Royal Opera House. 'Firsts is an exciting mix of contemporary dance, theatre and music performed by the UK s most dynamic emerging artists. For the third year running ROH2 will present a week of startling, surprising and totally original performances from some of the most innovative artists working in the UK today. This mini-season over six nights in the Linbury will showcase a range of art forms as diverse as hip-hop and aerial dance. Last year's Firsts attracted sell-out audiences drawing from first-timers to the experienced, the adventurous to the just plain curious! This year's line up includes Hip Hop artist Irven Lewis, choreographer and performer Vena Ramphal, physical theatre company Momentum Theatre, bungee artist Wendy Hesketh, music theatre company Theatre Cryptic, physical theatre company Tartan Chameleon, music theatre performance from Theatre Absolute and aerial performer Matilda Leyser with a new work specially commissioned for Firsts.
