Dog Day is a work which takes 'Dog Women' - a series of painting by Paula Rego - as a starting point, to explore the idea of status relationships and leading and following. We ask ourselves who is in control through the idea that 'perhaps everyone is somebody's dog' (John McEwen). Three Steps on the Ladder While Waiting, unrolls through a series of evocative images; someone rehearsing a dance, the voices of those who vanished returning to haunt us, someone choking, bricks being thrown around... and in the midst of all this, someone want to end it all...
