MUST is a poetic look at what it feels like to inhabit a body for a long time. Legendary New York performer Peggy Shaw excavates the memories and images that shelter in her joints and unearths the stories and music embedded in layers of bone and dirt. Inspired by images from Gulliver’s Travels, Hildegard von Bingen, The Elephant Man and the endless microscopic images of the medical profession, MUST takes a hard look at the medical gaze and humorously questions the assumptions -people make about each others' bodies.
