Rambert Dance Company - Swansong/L'eveil/Lady into Fox/Gran Partita archiveBritain's biggest and most exciting touring dance company who often tour two programmes at a time. Dancing to a mixture of musical styles they provide enormously watchable evenings. Swansong Revival Premiere - an intensely potent depiction of interrogation that is dramatic and sinister, but ultimately uplifting. L'eveil is an abstract piece for six women, loosely inspired by aspects of femininity and influenced by the power of the female voice through song. Featuring live singer Melanie Marshall, it is perfomed to Kurt Weill's Je ne t'aime pas and Leslie Bricusse's Feeling Good, with costumes inspired by world-renowned fashion designer Roland Mouret}. Lady into Fox - inspired by Andree Howard's original 1939 creation - which last appeared in Ballet Rambert's repertoire 57 years ago. Gran Partita is set to four movements from Mozart's exceptional piece of the same name. Capturing the verve and beauty of the music in movement, this emotional and dramatic piece complements Mozart's heart-melting sound. The celebrated designer Jean Marc Puissant's fresh scenery and costumes create a dreamy poetic world. Rambert Dance Company - Swansong/L'eveil/Lady into Fox/Gran Partita website.
