Resolution! is The Place's annual festival of new works presented by a range of diverse emerging dance-artists. Where am I? - Inspired by Daniel Dennett's thought experiment, this is a comic and existential mind-bender. Featuring dancer/performer Daniel Watson trapped in a 'talking space', where he wrestles with some serious questions about consciousness. Dragging Words - This piece was originally about nothing. Pete and Joel came together and wanted to make something that included dance, music and theatre. Their philosophy was to try and make something that interested both of them. Pete taught Joel how to sing (a bit), and Joel taught Pete a small movement phrase. They only began to think of it as piece after all the material was made. They began to understand who they were to one another within the work, and divide their work into these short strange stories. This is their take on the quirks of London city life. Manhood - This hip-hop dance theatre company presents a deep and vivid exploration into the physiological undercurrents of what being a man in the world we live in means. Duration: 100mins
