On Sunday 28 September, to celebrate the launch of the Cultural Olympiad, Greenwich Theatre teams up with the new theatre company subject2change to present a unique, free, outdoor show at the beautiful Well Hall Pleasaunce in Eltham. Well Hall Pleasaunce has a rich and diverse cultural history dating back to Tudor England. Over the years it has been home to the daughter of Thomas More, author of Utopia, and later to Edith Nesbit, author of The Railway Children. Inspired by the magic of Nesbit's children's fiction, and More's attempt to describe a perfect society, this unique show will take you on a magical journey into a new and unfamiliar world, unlocking the rich cultural heritage of the site through an unforgettable sensory spectacle. With circus skills, fire breathing, music, theatrical soundscapes and more, Utopia? will feed your imagination and sweep you away from everyday strife... Whilst this is a free event the capacity is limited to 80 people per performance so tickets must be reserved in advance.
