Grimm's fairytale. The classic story of two children sent into the woods. Unable to find their way home, they find a cottage made of cake and candy. Here lives a wicked witch who locks Hansel in a cage and tries to fatten him up ready for her to eat. The forest is a mysterious place, with light and shadows playing tricks on your mind. Hungry and tired Hansel and Gretel lost deep amongst the trees find an enchanted glade with a house of gingerbread and sugar. The house gives them food but its occupant - a witch - is intent on making the children food for her. Live accordion music with rod marionettes, shadow and glove puppets play out the children's adventure and eventual return home to their father. Suitable for children aged 4 and over
