CORONAVIRUS: All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020 but restrictions were lifted on 19th July 2021 with venues free to run shows to full capacity audiences after that though there are still issues with company members being forced to self-isolate on being 'pinged'. In September it is possible that a COVID vaccination certificate (or exemption) may be mandated for entry. Please note that iUKTDb archive listings between March 2020 and July 2021 may not be accurate as we did not receive details of all rescheduled and cancelled shows.
On the night before Christmas, Emily stares out of the window, hugs her teddy and waits excitedly for the morning, while in the corner a little mouse called Eddie can't understand why only humans are allowed to celebrate and get presents. So he sets off in search of Father Christmas to find out for himself. Along the way he dodges the family cat, gets directions from a cowardly toy soldier and is given some unexpected advice from the magical fairy on top of the tree. Will Eddie get an answer? Will Emily get her wish? And what is that funny-shaped present sitting under the tree? A bubbly and mischievous Elf is pretending to be hard at work in Santaâs workshop on Christmas Eve, but he is secretly hiding toys away for himself. When Father Christmas finds out he explains to the Elf what Christmas is really all about through song, poems and stories - and with some audience assistance. This cheery and informal show is a magical storytelling adventure for children and their families which is rounded off with a sing-along and the chance for every child to meet Father Christmas, receive a gift and share their wishes with him.Producer Turtle Key Arts.
