Yer Tiz is a new play for family audiences about Somerset. The story follows Nick on a reluctant quest to find the perfect place to live in Somerset as he travels from Bath to Chard via: Castle Cary; Burnham-on-Sea; Tarr Steps and Norton Fitzwarren all without a car. Along the way he meets some of the county's most unlikely inhabitants including a pirate, a dragon and two ghosts who all force his journey into unexpected places. It takes place over the course of a day and finishes with the lingering promise of ham, egg and chips. Yer Tiz is non-stop physical storytelling. It is a celebratory comedy. Performer Nick White plays ten characters and uses puppetry, song and gentle audience participation throughout.
