Red Ladder and Chumbawamba invite you back one hundred years into the world of Music Hall - not, they promise, a trip to the Good Old Days, but a captivating journey into the comically vulgar underbelly of Edwardian Britain - part theatre, part show, part timely rant - a time when trumped-up public schoolboys ran the country and when corruption and sleaze riddled the corridors of power (sound familiar?) Centred around a cast of showmen, starlets and ventriloquists, and set in the Leeds City Varieties of a century ago, Big Society! invites you to sing along with the assembled conjurers, drunks & suffragettes as they wrestle with the forces of wealth and morality in a concoction of comedy, class and catchy choruses. With live music from Chumbawamba, and Red LadderPerformers Phill Jupitus (George Lightfeather), Kyla Goodey, Harry Hamer, Lisa Howard, Dean Nolan, Jude Abbot, Boff Whalley, Phil Moody, Neil Ferguson, Kyla Goodey, Harry Hamer, Lisa Howard, Phill Jupitus, Dean Nolan.
