It's 1964. Beatlemania is sweeping the world and Liverpool is the most fab place on the planet. Uncle Eric decides to head North to make his fortune with the new Merseybeat sound. He's going to emulate his hero, Albert Epstein. As Eric says, "formulating the theory of relativity and managing The Beatles - the man's a genius!". But things aren't going to plan. For a start he finds himself in Skelmersdale. The group he's decided to manage is not exactly The Beatles, more a collection of misfits all with their own reasons for wanting to be famous. And now, Auntie Madge is on her way to see what he's getting up to!
