'The Goodbye Girl' follows Paula, an ex-Broadway dancer and single mum, who is left in the lurch when her boyfriend jilts her for an acting job. Just as her faith in men - particularly those of the show business fraternity - has hit rock bottom, Paula discovers that her apartment has been leased to another crazy actor, Elliot Garfield, who wants to move in immediately! There follows an engaging tale of three people thrown together against the colourful backdrop of neurotic 90s New York, and amidst the precarious world of the acting profession.
